Real estate overlords get out of parking business
The Goodman family won't be getting you when you drive downtown any more. But with their pals at Portland City Hall helping them slap up one nasty skyscraper after another, they'll no doubt still get a piece of your property tax bill.

I understand that while they sold the parking business, they still own the land. So they'll get your $$$ back in rent from these Canadians.

And rent from any other business we patronize in one of their buildings.

Yeah if you want to know who has the bucks in Portland, just get a listing of property owners of downtown.

I have a hunch the money the so called Canadians used may well have traces of Fortune Cookie.

I bet the Auto Rest building is history! Bring on the cr-apartments and cubicles for the residents to work in.

"traces of Fortune Cookie."
Fortune Cookie is very American. Most Chinese don't even know what it is. It is mostly found in the old Chop Suey restaurants in the U.S., or for those Americans who still think Chop Suey is authentic Chinese cuisine.

You know, I feel very sorry for poor Andy Giegerich over at the Business Journal. What's he going to do every day, now that he doesn't have Sam Adams's butt to kiss?

The Goodman's Downtown Development Group is why TriMet is forging ahead with the Milwaukie Mystery train. So now it's a mystery no longer. They expect the train to whisk Clackistanis downtown to shop and recreate.
