This year's gag word

"Vibrant." It's definitely heading into "linchpin" territory.

Dynamic.

Adjective device used for verbal masturbation.

How about revolting? Will revolting ever come back?

Vibrant.

Don't forget "Creative".

Vibrant means "lots of hip bars and restaurants."

My doc said that she sees a surprising amount of alcohol-induced liver damage amongst young service workers. The price of Portlandia-style vibrancy.

Maybe, someday, we could get a company that does light manufacturing for export. But that's not want our fearless leaders want. We are a city of Portlandia extras, and bike delivery services, and LGBT sock monkeys and vegan dog treats. Go unicycles!
Let's just put on those mickey mouse ears and play songs of quiet desperation. Living the dream.

"Resilient" is a current favorite among our planners.
