There was an odd sentence in the story here about Metro & the zoo:
http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2012/12/oregon_zoo_wants_metro_to_buy.html
"Journalists were to refrain from reporting on the executive session portion of the meeting, but Tuesday afternoon a reporter employed by Metro published a story on the regional government's Web site outlining the zoo's intentions."
What's up with the refraining remark?

Oh, great. Now they're going to build an elephant farm out in Clackamas. The METRO Magoos do it again.

And why isn't our free press questioning why Metro wants to control the media?
Oh, we don't have a free press - it's nothing more than the press release factory for Metro. It's just Metro's reporter wants to take the credit for himself...

I just want to know if the sick people all had to pay for their parking too.
Talk about getting it from you both coming and going...

This same sort of illness (at lease the symptoms seemed the same) occurred around a week ago at a production facility in Portland. A majority of the employees became sick, many losing it out of both ends, within a 24-hour period. Then it left as quickly as it hit. There was no apparent cause related to food. In fact, some had been told that the outbreak had been traced to (I think...) a girl's high school soccer team in Forest Grove, or somewhere out in that direction. Weird stuff.

Personally, I believe that everyone should eat there at least annually. Think of it as a flu shot for the digestive system.

My wife was one of the unhappy 70. Not pretty. Might have been the fruit that was served. Took about 28 hours to hit. And about 5 days to get over it.

A missed opportunity here: pay toilets!
