Nolan would dig "urban renewal" hole deeper

Here's an interesting Q&A with the two candidates for the remaining Portland City Council seat. And a reader of that exchange sums it up well:

Amanda: I will support smart investments, and try not to burden Portland with more garbage.

Nolan: I will give a long winded non-response and a history lecture. My contractor friends will be rewarded with urban renewal money!

Amanda is so independent that she refuses to pander to special interests. That is why even though we frequently disagree, the Portland Green Party and Oregon Progressive Party endorsed her. She can listen and formulate a response from her own mind. It is incredibly refreshing.

Maybe the shovel was Photoshopped out of the picture in that other thread.

Why would anyone be surprised? Her husband, Mark Gardiner, and glickman jr shook Vera down for $35m at pge park. It only took them one season to blow that and walk away scotfree.

I think Mary sees what is possible once you are in power.
