Which group was better: Question Mark & the Mysterians, or Cannibal & the Headunters?
Slight edge to ? for edgier sound and originality. Two great Latino R&R combos, though!
Always like Garland Jeffreys' rendition of "96 Tears," btw. Here he is with Springsteen & The E Street Band, earlier this year @PinkPop:

All good- Springsteen's version is the most rockin'. Garland's original is still the best. Thanks.

There's something about Cannibal's drums and chanting that moves me more. There are a couple of versions here, if you can get them: http://www.rdio.com/artist/Cannibal__The_Headhunters/album/Land_of_1000_Dances/

"City Kids" was an amazing album. Bruce is class who has no problem sharing a stage with it.

You can accuse me of hijacking the thread, but I vote for Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs. What could be more endearing than a Latino band made up of four Arabs and a Sikh?

Of the two I prefer ?, but I second concordbridge's proposal. I've been a Sam-man since I first saw Yosemite.
