I am thankful for many things and am happy that we can join with friends and family and enjoy a good meal together.

But I am also very saddened to know that my country supports the illegal and repulsive collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

I just picked up a couple boxes of "compostable" green colored 33 gallon trash bags from Amazon for pretty cheap; now ALL of our trash (except for identifying junk mail) goes to the compost facility. We don't even recycle anymore.

Ahem, the Arab nations can solve any punishment of Palestinians. Just let them into their countries and grant them citizenship.

If they want the Palestinians, them they are the ones punishing them.

What's for afters?
Well there's rat cake ... rat sorbet ... rat pudding ... or strawberry tart.
Strawberry tart?!
Well, it's got some rat in it.
How much?
Three (rather a lot really).
... well, I'll have a slice without so much rat in it.

If they don't want the Palestinians, then they are the ones punishing them.

Don't mean to highjack this thread about good gravy, but MCinOr:

The Palestinians have their own country - they just need to get it back.

Antisemitism doesn't belong on the garbage thread.

I agree with Tim. No other country in the world supports Israel's policies with the enthusiasm of the U.S.

Apartheid -- any system or practice that separates people according to race, caste, etc.

That being said, I also agree with Tim that "I am thankful for many things and am happy that we can join with friends and family and enjoy a good meal together."

So how is this thread antisemitism?
Did you oppose Apartheid? Was that "anti-Afrikaans"?

Tim's first comment is very good. I agree with it. However, Tim is completely wrong about the palestinians. Why don't the palestinians move to Lebanon, Jordan or Syria? They don't because they are not wanted by anyone except to be a thorn for Israel in Gaza and West Bank. That's a very sad situation for them to be screwed by their fellow Arabs and Muslims.

I can't wait to see Stenchy's Christmas outfit!

The Palestinians have their own country - they just need to get it back.

Which country was that, exactly?

Is that a pilgrim hat, or was Stenchy an extra in the new Lincoln movie?
