End of the line for Romney
Fox just threw in the towel, joining NBC. That's a relief. It's all based on projections, of course, and there is always the possibility that the actual votes won't match up to what the pundits say. But they say Obama is going to win.

The good news is that this means that the Florida result doesn't matter.

Oh, the chads that they'll be picking over!

And right this very minute, NJ Gov. Christy is in his mancave blasting this on his sound system -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkg8Mua_6Fw

Fox is amazing right now. Rove refuses to call it, forcing their in-house nerds to defend themselves. Despite ALL evidence to the contrary, Rove is sticking to his guns. FANTASTIC TV.

Sounds like Romeny is being a poor loser. Still no concession call to the President as of midnight est.

It was his race to lose. And he did so, spectacularly. Christie and Bloomberg stabbing him in the back was priceless.

Watching Karl Rove doing his "not so fast" routine was HILARIOUS. Loved it.
Then Krauthammer came out to assure everyone that this election showed that the Republican Party has a "bright future."
I thought that statement was the culmination of all the right-wing spin of the last 20 years. All the frantic talk radio BS rolled into one last totally disconnected little snarl of hate.
Sorry to be crude, but at that point I achieved a metaphysical orgasm.

Gee Mittens will have to pay for his own airplane!
But he can amuse himself with the remodel in La Jolla.
More elevators!

Concession speeches tell you a lot. McCain knew he was going to lose. Romney didn't.

If Romney didn't know he was going to lose then he made the mistake of drinking his own cool-aid. Every major poll had him behind the entire time. Say what you want about their accuracy, but to think you are ahead with no evidence is just silly.
I'm interested in how the popular vote shakes out.
The Republicans will make inroads into the Latino community and even things out in the future. That or they'll fade away, which we know won't happen.

Every major poll did not have Romney behind. But I expect the short and long analyses will show that Team Obama ran a good (dishonest, maybe, even vicious) campaign and Team Romney let them define him and do it, among their other missteps.
I did not vote for Obama this year but I bet money he would win last January, doubled the bet last summer, and collected last night.
I would rather have paid.
