Not the first time in life it has occurred to me that fortune has nothing to do with anything I did. Always a bit humbling at the least.

Got a good buddy living in Tom's River NJ. Heard from a friend he's OK but his garage is flooded, and his cars are toast. Tough time for the folks in NJ and the whole area, to be sure. Thoughts go out to them all.

I'm in a state of shock over the devastation. I can't believe the hit New Jersey took and Springsteen's "Atlantic City" has been going through my head all day.
