Missed opportunity
Nutsy and Char-Lie are debating live at the City Club, streaming here. Wish we had known in advance -- this calls for a drinking game.

There's ten minutes of my life I will never get back...

Every time Char-Lie says "I" -- Stand up, do a shot, and shout: "You lie!"
Every time Nutsy says "sustainably" -- Tip over a couch, chug a Schmidts, go outside and yell: "If my time and your will permits, I'll honor that space and culture!"

My rules are: think about one of these guys being mayor for four years, go get a stiff drink.

Mojo, way to go. Way to recognize. That line from Jefferson's apology email for the groin thing, should live on as one of the all-time "I'm a d-bag" political quotes in history. It is Jefferson Smith at his best. He always says that he has led an "imperfect life." (Yeah, no kidding.) And yet, there is a perfection to this line that is transcendent.
13 words. I challenge any politician in the world to pack that much bullsh*t into 13 words.

Nutsy was channeling Al Gore: too much false bravado, and his lips were too close to the mic. At least it sounded like that on the livestream from the O.
Char-lie gave you a near shoutout: "some people say I was living in Camas, but I never lived in Camas, I was in Stevenson, WA."
If the choice comes down to who is the more progressive of the two: Nutsy wins.
Then he'll dig up the pavement in front of Jack's house for the next 6 months.

"Compassionate conservative."
There you go, Bill. Did it in 2.

"some people say I was living in Camas, but I never lived in Camas, I was in Stevenson, WA."
Oh, that explains things.

Every time I think about our elections, national, and then local with vested interests propping up these two, plus the behavioral control aspects in our community, I think of when are people going to say enough is enough!
