Live wire

Did you see Bruno Mars on Saturday Night Live? That is one talented and charismatic dude. And he's a musical impressionist on top of everything else! If there's a downside to him, don't tell us.

The other thing we've noticed is that Seth Meyers does a great job on "Weekend Update." He's got that one down.

The show has its ups and downs -- we still think 90 minutes is about 30 too long -- but it's really picked up speed again lately. Must be the election.

Yeah. And it was great to see Stefon's first appearance of the season.

And get ready for Louis C.K. hosting next weekend. "Colin Quinn Offers Louis C.K. Some 'SNL' Suggestions On Twitter" -- http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/slideshow/2001907/258417/?icid=hp_comedy_gallery

Yeah, thought the same thing while watching SNL the other night. Exciting performer. And who knew he could be way funny! If SNL was smart, they'd bring him back every year. And Bruno's demo is young, which NBC must love.

The Pandora sketch was one of the funniest I've seen in awhile. Perhaps Bruno could make an appearance on Portlandia?

Only if he plays a bewildered outsider. Please, please don't turn him into anything from here.
