At Vestas, follow the colored line to your pink slip

How whacked is THAT? Pretty twisted HR parlor game. Seems like a violation of the Geneva Convention.

How very orderly and strange.

Color codes indicate whether you were laid off for being too old, too foreign, too female, too black, too highly paid, etc.

That is just awful. And stupid. 15% of males are colour blind. Vestas has been given a little time by lenders, but I doubt they will avoid bankruptcy.

15%? That high? I know I have trouble with black and purple if the lights are dim at all, but I've only met one other person with color issues.

These mass layoffs are tough, I remember Intel 25 yrs ago going thru this and it was Lady or the Tiger. THere were three rooms and three people - One got cut and then the security guy would stand by while they emptied their desk.
However, on the bright side, Gerding-Edlen will have a nice building with $10M of tenant improvements for free - Courtesy of taxpayers.

I don't know if the percentage is right or not, but I've known a lot of red/green colorblind folks over the years. Once, as a joke, I set an orange and a green tennis ball on a friend's lawn - and he didn't realize they were there.
It would have been interesting to paint somebody red and have them lay down out there...

Jo, maybe Jack will put up a survey asking how many of his male readers are color blind. I'm a yes.
Before you ask, the green light is white, the yellow light is yellow and the red light is off.
