I love that it lists "The Honorable Earl Blumenauer." Did someone inadvertently knight him or something? Or is that just common stationary parlance for affluent jerkoffs?
Better adjectives for E:
*Reprehensible
*Contemptible
*Clod-like
*Irritating
*Insufferable
etc.
I hope he wears his (totally not stupid and ridiculous) bike lapel.

I'll gladly drop $1000 in support of Obama.

Jesse and Earl are waiting for you.

There was brunch for 25 at $30k apiece too. Guess we missed out.

Chatting on a one-way street? Not likely. Only the followers of socialism would want to sit around listen to streetcar and bicycle rhetoric from bow tied wily Earl and the book worm Powell. Neither have much to say other than to propagandize a social engineering agenda. I’d rather buy gasoline for my car and just go for a drive to nowhere than spend $500.00 to listen to their BS.

Welcome to the Obama version of the trickle down economy.
He's not talking to you without some money in your hand. Yes, I'm sure Romney's just as bad a sell out.

Hey! Does anyone know if Craig Hartzman and Jim John are still partners? Follow that money!!!

"He's not talking to you without some money in your hand."
First the money must travel from your hand to his. Then he will pretend to give a sh*t for a predetermined period of time.

All of you who vote for this socialist-in-chief deserve what you get. The rest of us? Not so much.

I wonder if President Obama realizes he's coming to town on the same day as the Oregon Bar Examination. He's bound to create a lot of pissed off law students.
Posted by Mike Lewis | July 17, 2012 8:11 PM
The bar exam is at Jantzen Beach. With any luck, the Presidential gridlock won't affect that morning's commute.
Posted by Jack Bog | July 17, 2012 8:25 PM
Ah, the bar exam. Any delays on that day would be a major strike in the minds of those voters. Have to point out, our intrepid blogger got me past minimal competence on the subject of tax law. Good luck to anybody taking the exam next week - now get off this blog and cram!

And here I thought the Democratic party was the party that represented the common person.
$500 just to sit in a ballroom? And hear a bunch of people blab about how great and wonderful they are? And who have, and will do, nothing for me?
I'll take that money and "invest" it in better things.

Why's Wyden not coming? With the wife and kids in the Hamptons?
Posted by Jack Bog | July 17, 2012 10:05 PM
Jesse is definitely the single name that doesn't seem to belong.

Guess only the local network would call Earl The Honorable!
See what the opinion is of him in this progressive national blog.

I'm entertained with the slapstick comments about Obama by stooges from both sides.
Everyone from the true left rightward toward the middle left, and in some places the line is all the way across the left even to the middle of the road, (perhaps our man Jack, for example), are people who have abandoned Obama for being ineffectual, makes no principled stand, surrenders to congressional fascists before the first volley is exchanged, and just in general he's a freaking sell-out, at best, probably a double-agent even worse.
He has hardly any leftist supporters since it's plainly clear he is not one of their kind.
Way over right in the Tea-bagger fringe, and adding a few leftward of those lost causes yet still in the hard right goon group, are people who call Obama names ('socialist' 'Marxist' 'communist') so completely stupid they are pitiable.
The left sees Obama is not a leftist at all. Yet the right idiotically and loudly lies that Obama is left of left -- are they trying to look stupid on purpose, like Stephen Colbert?
As a matter of record, and for those who haven't heard the truth yet, read this excerpt from this book (maybe even buy the book) and catch up with the advancing realization that Obama is CIA-bought, -taught, and -thought, an Agent their puppet, the completed 40-year human experiment to grow a 'manchurian candidate' whose mission is to betray democracy, devastate America and eradicate resisters, using murder-on-a-whim if nothing else. He's an unacceptable freaking rightwing dictatorial autocrat ... and Romney's worse.
Pay good money to meet with Obama? What, are they totally out of their mind?
Er, come to think of it, I do know Jesse Cornett . . .

Obama: The far left doesn't like him, the right doesn't like him, and the tinfoil hat set don't even like him.
He's definitely got an electorate problem!
In all seriousness though, he'd better come up with something better than "I'm not Bush" because that won't work again.

How about I'm not Romney?
Or four more years of trillion dollar handouts to banks and selected industrial leaders?
Posted by Steve | July 18, 2012 6:21 AM
"Or four more years of trillion dollar handouts to banks and selected industrial leaders?"
LOL. You are aware that it's been Obama doing those handouts for the last four years, haven't you?
Posted by Random | July 18, 2012 7:47 AM
"been Obama doing those handouts for the last four years"
The ultimate in trickle-down economics. Great to be Jamie Dimon or Jeff Immelt.

Wonder if our illustrious Mayor will be on the tarmac at the air base, part of the greeting line? Will he be in the motorcade? Will he be even invited to rub shoulders with Portland's finest?
Posted by pdxjim | July 18, 2012 10:36 AM
I was surprised to see that Sam and Randy and Retread aren't on the list. No surprise to see Win McCormack, though.

I was planning to attend but I have an emergency quadruple root canal without novacaine scheduled at the same time. bummer, maybe next time.
Posted by mcinor | July 23, 2012 9:14 PM
Well I guess THIS GUY won't be attending the Obama event, and the others like him I guess.
