Gangster night on SE Stark

Another armed street robbery near 82nd at a little after 9:00, and an apparent gang-related shooting, with life-threatening wounds, at a strip club out around 100th at around 11:15. Details here.

These kinds of incidents would not happen if more people used cargo bikes. They are going to save lives when the next big disaster comes.

Every condo bunker development should be required to have a ground floor strip club, a fortified wine kiosk, and a methadone clinic.

Realistically, we'll never be able to eliminate all crime, but this is getting ridiculous. And, with a few exceptions (the Beaumont mugging springs to mind), most of the action is concentrated in outer SE/NE. How "progressive" of our elected officials not to give a rip as long as the criminals keep it contained in poor neighborhoods.

Classic line from the PPB:

"The victims described the suspects as three African American teens in their early 20s."

Me fail math? That's unpossible!

Some of these neighborhoods were not always "poor" until city policies created the situation. Rue the day the city annexed areas.
Believe it or not, there still are nice areas and people are really upset about city rezoning and changing not only the character but the characterization of the area, proclaiming it is now diversity. Those who have lived there and built up the community and invested in their homes are feeling they are invisible now and I guess a kind of reverse discrimination.
