Bold as love

A belated happy birthday to Joan Osborne, one of the best singers alive, who hit the big 5-0 on Sunday.

We finally have the answer to Joan's big question. Remember when she asked:

"What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home"?

The answer: Tri-Met would either cut or cancel God's bus service to make a streetcar.

God's gonna need $2.50 to go 10 blocks pretty soon.

Maybe that "render unto Caesar" plan will be godified for the 21st century, dropping the "unto" part.

Totally talented and totally hot.

Is that a silver cap or does she have a Jewel thing going on?

Joan Osborne! I listened to her a lot back in 1996, but then lost track of her. She's a really creative soul. Now I'm thinking I'll buy a CD of hers for my work road trip to the Oregon coast next week. Thanks for reminding me of Joan.

Get "How Sweet it Is" or "Little Wild One," but all the recent material is fine as wine in the summertime.

Is that a silver cap

No, just an odd bit of light.
