Don't let the hipsters see this

Or your Portland neighborhood will soon have a few.

Maybe Sammyboy should have one of these. Then he could leave town for all time. Good luck finding a parking place though.

TJ VanSlyke will soon be coming to your neighborhood.

There is a double-decker bus boutique shop on "trendy" Williams Avenue.

Better sentence construction would say, "There is a boutique shop in a double decker bus on trendy Williams Avenue." Sorry, it is Friday.

You go bloke...Luv yur "kitting out," and how you even equipped the kitchen with a "hob." Seriously, great job..and a good example of self-reliance in place of being a whiner...This is the kind of bus project we can identify with....

Those types of repurposed vehicles are called "Tennessee Town Houses" in some places.
Anyone remember Ken Kesey?

With Crime-met cutting all the bus routes there will be plenty of surplus buses around.

In Portland they would be turned into food carts.

Maybe somebody could convert some of the WES trains?

By the way, what the heck is a "hob"? Apparently it's very cool that this couple has one, as it was referred to at least 3 times.

A HOB is a little household spirit in Northern England, or a stove. Not sure which applies here. :-)

This guy is my hero. I really love this idea of owning your own place, no matter what it is.

I once went to Hawaii for a month and lived in a converted cargo van. I called ahead and set up the purchase (craigslist) and converted it in the first day or two of arriving. Then I posted my van on Craigslist and sold it for more than I paid for it.

Greatest adventure ever.

In Korea it is common to live at home until marriage. By which point one has saved a ton of money. You then spend 50-100k on an apartment. No rent. You give them the money as a deposit. Then later when you move they give you the money back. Basically they just invest your money and that's how they profit. Cool system really. None of this throwing away of money we do here.
