Bike set falls for another one
First they give money to a con man on two wheels, and brag about it. Then when somebody goofs on them, they don't get the joke. There's a lot they don't quite get.

Oh, they get it. It's just that they're whining "I don't think it's funny at all."

Oh it's funny...hilarious even. I like it when politicians think an Onion article is real. Hits the same funny bone for me.

I ride every day for transportation and also for competition/recreation. I've been a bike nerd of the highest order since long before the Portland bike explosion happened. Lest someone think that's self-righteousness (I couldn't care less about that garbage), it's only context for this: I cringe at much of what appears on bikeportland.org. These stories are just two out of many examples of Maus not getting it. I'm certainly not alone among my bike riding friends in abhorring the thought of people assuming Maus represents me or my views.
I disagree with Maus about as much as I disagree with Bogdanski, which is to say most of the time. Painting the "bike set" as a uniform bloc might miss the mark a bit. Skeptical? I also respect stop signs when I'm riding, but based on what I sometimes read in the comments here, this blog's readers might not want to believe that, either.
