Portland off the hook for treating Bull Run water
So now the city water bureau will cut its capital improvements budget, stop borrowing tens of millions of dollars for unnecessary planning and construction, and ease up on its huge planned increases to the rates it charges residents for water, right?
Right?

Actually, those funds will now be redirected to radon mitigation for the underground reservoirs.
And the new bike sharing program.
Because bike sharing reduces the amount of chain lubricant which has to be removed in the sewer treatment plants.

A) A variance is NOT a waiver. A variance can be withdrawn at any time, for very loosely defined reasons, but I'll take it for now.
B) There are still 10s of Millions of dollars in totally unneeded costs to bury the water supply in unhealthy metal bunkers. This HAS to be stopped.
C) When does the spin happen? I give it a month or less.

And that van to take the tourists to Bull Run is at least 2 years old now...better get a new one. How about a million dollar Prevo bus with a hot tub, stewardess and a chef to go along with that tour guide?
And everyone's salary should be increased, and....lots more.

A step forward.
Thank you Scott and Floy.
Now lets all push on getting rates reduced to where they should be.

It would be the prudent thing to do given the current political and legal circumstances, but I wouldn't counsel held breath.

The master plan on the water projects in the Bull Run are to run concurrent to the 10 year variance which can be yanked any time by the tester jesters exclaiming CRYPTO enough times... in the Master Plan, permitted by Auspicious Portland Hearings officer Helm, not only paid by PDX but by the County the PWB needs the permit from... guess who hears the PWB for the County... that's correct... Auspicious... and the Master Plan includes the very UV plant we now have a variance for. They have already done away with over 400 trees since acquiring the land. Randy of his guy Ty heading all the projects in the Master Plan... "Ty has this more global understanding that I think makes it a really natural fit for him."
Not happy about this Global Footprint in the Bull Run, Randy. We need a WAIVER to stop the spending... What is it costing Portland for this Global Water presence? ooops... The Master Plan. Can the next mayor fire the entire PWB management?
