Yes, but if you delete all your tweets, pretty soon they'll be harder to find than most reporters can deal with.

A friend of mine did a paper in law school concerning the intersection of social media and employment.
He immediately took down his facebook page and closed all other online portals. He won't even text now. He's adamant that he has not overreacted.
