We had a swarm of tiny earthquakes on the west side of Mount Hood yesterday -- five of them, between 1.0 and 1.7 magnitude -- between 1:25 and 6:25 p.m.

WOW, another St. Helens coming????
We need a streetcar line to the west side of Mount Hood for the millions of expected visitors.
Then we can abate property taxes and build thousand of condo bunkers along the line. Think of the possibilities of 50 miles of streetcar line & condo bunkers - millions of people can enjoy the TOD lifestyle! Better yet they can enjoy the rail lifestyle as they travel along narrow lines of crime infested, former nice neighborhoods. How very vibrant. And livable!! Charlie we need your leadership here - give us you wisdom!
Go By Streetcar (only 5 times the cost of driving a car.)
Thanks
JK

Well, if Mt. Hood wakes up that will likely solve all our Portland related problems.

More.
2012
The Pacific plate will tear loose beginning at the Cascadia Fault wreaking global tsunamis and volcanic eruptions filling the atmosphere.
I'm sorry.
Live large while you can.

Jim,
Up until 1980, USGS listed Mt. Hood as the most volcanically active peak in the Cascades; St. Helens was listed as dormant.
And if you've spent much time around the Devil's Kitchen area, it seems pretty believable. There's more data here.
