Is that 2005 or 2015?

Come on folks, we have to look at this through our "Glass Half Full" Rose City Colored Glasses... With the Season starting on Christmas Day, Greg will only miss a couple games at the most!

Is that 2005 or 2015?
Is that basketball or pinochle?

I heard a sports guy say that Oden hasn't played an NBA game in 2 full years. Can that be true?

It's probably close to two calendar years now. I was late getting to the game (due to reffing a basketball game) when his knee exploded, and our high school season has just begun. Will certainly be two by the time the season starts.

The last game Greg Oden participated in was on December 5, 2009.

"Portland has a qualifying offer of $8.8 million out to Oden, the Oregonian notes, even though it's unclear exactly when he'll return to action."
Wait...I'm choking on the chips I'm eating for lunch.
$8.8M? Hahahaha...hehehehe.
Unclear when? Try "if."

Ugh! Who are these people still clinging to some fantasy about Oden being important to this team? He'll NEVER be a dominate center. NEVER. He's got hands like bricks, knees like glass, and couldn't stay out of foul trouble IN COLLEGE. Remember the summer league games where he'd foul out after 10 fouls or whatever ridiculous amount they'd get?
Not to mention he makes good money off his Geico caveman commercials.

I'm still hoping that the story ends like Homer's Odyssey.
Do we see a ship returning to port(land) after all these years?
Could it be? Does anyone still have faith or have all abandoned you?
Is it the mighty return of Greg Odysseus?

More likely less that Homeric than this one:

Maybe this is the missing ingredient that the Blazers need:
Meet The New Sports Drink: Pickle Juice

And by that, I mean the Blazers' ownership and management, to prevent their chronic brain cramps.

Oden is ready this year for an all-star season and NBA championship...on his Xbox.

Man the Oden character dominates in NBA2k11 on Xbox.

The latest Sports Illustrated lists the Trailblazers as stuck in middle-of-the-pack land. Good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to make it into final rounds. Also, they take a dig at the team for not having any general manager.
Oh well! We'll see them when they play the Kings in Sacramento.
