Are Reed, Warner Pacific robberies related?
We had this incident at Warner Pacific the other night, and this one a couple of weeks ago at Reed. And another armed robbery reported in November at Reed. Are the perps the same people? Copycats?

I don't know if they're related or not, but as the less advantaged parts of town keep getting raided via URAs and TIFs to build ivory towers for the inner city, I would expect armed raids to increase, both in frequency and boldness.

College students at Reed ( are certainly perceived to have both some bucks and perceived to have really nice electronics. I suspect the perception is that college students at Warner Pacific are similar.
College dorms are notoriously poorly secured and occupied by folks without a whole lot of "street smarts" and common sense, IMHO. Not a far reach for bad guys to figure that dorms are basically unoccupied over Christmas break, and that there may be a lot of saleable electronics which nobody is watching really closely on the premises.
And, though this may come as a shock to some folks, it has even been rumored that in some colleges (certainly not Reed or Warner) some college students use drugs, and that drugs may be on the premises.
A dorm version of a "home invasion" robbery isn't a far fetched idea when you think about it.
Jus' sayin'.
