Willamette Week hacked again?

Wednesday morning... time to see what's what in this week's Willamette Week... rumor has it they're reporting that Portland police chief Mike Reese, hand-picked by Fireman Randy, is running for mayor...

Oops!

A couple of our browsers are warding us off! They say there's malware there. Same thing that happened on September 8, when the site was hacked.

Here's the link to the Reese story, but go there at your own risk.

UPDATE, 9:06 a.m.: KATU follows up on the Reese rumor, here.

UPDATE, 2:12 p.m.: Browsers have now unblocked WW once again.

There is another link on KGW.
Reese? Eeww!

WW reports that voters haven't really taken a liking to any of the present Mayor candidates. Makes sense when they collectively are much more similar than dissimilar. They support most of the outrageous things happening in our city and citizens are looking for a mind change.

But will Reese be any different?

Reese always strikes me as Creepy's little hand puppet. Curious as to how the police force he commands really feel about him.

Answer to Lw: No, Reese is a Randy handpicked union control candidate of what is left of Portland.

67falcon,
Think we need to keep a close eye on who is running that has a close association with Randy and those who have supported Randy.
If the insider agenda continues, we can bury our "City of Roses" livability, hope it is not too late.

Now oregonlive.com quoting Reese as saying he is considering a run and the (alleged, so called) Mayor Tweets (you expected something else?) that he'd make a great Mayor....

The Honorable Mayor police Chief. Uh, no, I don't think so.

When (Oakland) police say their violence against protesters is "just following orders (of Mayor Quan)," does that absolve them? and/or co-convict her?

Occupy Movement makes American 'capitalism' a moral/immoral and legal/illegal matter and concern. (It's NOT a left/right Democ/Repub political 'position' issue.) Murderous 'good Germans' just following 1940s orders were immoral, corrupted souls, and all humankind condemned them for it. Unto death and evermore.

Where a Mayor refuses to give orders for police violence, police ('Chief') do NOT get to take matters into their own hands.

Here's an explanation of the moment when We the American People (and particularly in law enforcement) lost our collective moral bearings. http://www.salon.com/2011/10/25/book_excerpt_with_liberty_and_justice_for_some/singleton/
