Turkey 'dogs flunk out

As happened last year, the underdogs of pro football did not prevail on Thanksgiving Day. That means goose eggs for the following players in our charity prediction game:

7 MIAMI at Dallas - Rudie, Larry Legend, genop's gal, Paul, Michael K.
6 DETROIT vs. Green Bay - Gordon, Drewbob, Biggest Cubs Loser, john dull, Pete Rozelle, Money Maker, jmh
3 SAN FRANCISCO at Baltimore - John Ch., John Cr., Bad Brad, Weavmo

It was pretty good gridiron action all day, though. Who needs the NBA? All other players in our contest, don't forget to get your picks in by 10 a.m. Sunday.

Ouch, I just read Jason Quick's gush-fest about Ndamukong Suh, written before Suh went off in the Packers game:

"He has come to accept that the insults and accusations come because he is different; few possess his size, strength, speed and agility. But he has also found peace in no longer worrying about what others say."

Uhh, no Jason, the accusations don't come because of Suh's size, strength, speed, and agility. They come because he's got a predilection for violence. I don't believe he lost his temper out there, either - I think he was enjoying himself. That would explain why he doesn't seem to think he did anything wrong.

The fact that it was so dumb from a team point of view doesn't help either. And how dumb was it not to at least lie and say, "I lost my temper. I'm sorry." Suh could be hard-wired in a dangerous way.

Right, Bill. That's why I described the Lions' defense as "vicious" in picking them to upset the Packers. Suh may not be long for the NFL and end up at the WWE where he belongs.

SF looked totally underwhelming. How did this team ever go 9-1?
