Occupy Portland morass wears on

There are still scores of folks in the downtown squares, they were there all night, and they say they're planning to stay. The city blew hundreds of thousands of dollars last night, two police were injured, and at least one person was arrested. There was basically a huge street party, which 5,000 people attended, lasting from about 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Was anything else accomplished?

UPDATE,10:42 a.m.: Willy Week still has people on the scene, a-Tweetin' away.

UPDATE, 10:48 a.m.: The Jeffer-Sam Smith campaign weighs in:

UPDATE, 10:59 a.m.: The police have begun clearing the park. At least one arrest has been reported so far. We'll try to update here.

Dat's tweet!

I went down there but I never saw the Blazer Dancers.

The cops are actually clearing the park now.

Not sure what the purpose of the High Noon confrontation was last night, but it seems to be resolving itself adequately.

"Was anything else accomplished?"

Fox 12 achieved a 20.1 percent share of viewers.

The O reported that Sarah Gelser, state legislator from Corvallis, took her two daughters down for a "civics lesson" last night. Since her Dad is Acres Gaming ( http://www.casinogamingstock.net/news/igt-closes-the-books-on-acres-gaming-901700 )
it is nice to see that the 1% is educating their young about the other 99%.

Oregon 'does it right'?!?!

What complete fools.

Go take a look at the parks and the cost.
