Occupy Portland arrest numbers hit 37
Another 10 took a ride in the paddy wagon early this morning for camping across from the federal building. Added to Sunday morning's haul, that's 37 arrests and counting.
How many do you think there will ultimately be?

Where's the politicians who showed up and gave the occupiers cheers of support?
Where's all those liberal folks running for City Council and for Mayor?
Where's that Oregon AFL-CIO dude, former fearless firefighter, who gave the occupiers a pledge of support from Labor?
What happened to these people when the going got tough?
Did Rosa Parks sit in the back and shout out to someone else, hey, you up there sitting in the front row, I support you!" No! Ms. Parks made history by taking a hit for her cause... Unlike the list of say-a-lot/ do nothings in the list above.
Occupy Portland you now have a better idea of who your real friends do not include.
Does not include the Mayor.
Does not include anyone on City Council.
Does not include organized Labor.
Does not include anyone running for City Council or for Mayor.

Jack, that depends on how you define "ultimately". This movement has some staying power - think of the Vietnam war protests - and if this goes on long enough, or spins off into other protest venues, there could be many, many more.

How many are downtown now? They've been there almost a month and the activists in Portland are nothing if not tenacious (see the Schumacher Fur protests). Your fatuous city leaders will cave to their masters sooner or later and I predict they will end up arresting most of the occupiers several times before the protest moves into its next phase. Whatever form that takes. That's why I voted 200-499.

Not many will get arrested because they lack the spirit of those 70's anti Vietnam protests
I've seen 100 people get arrested in one fell swoop back in 1970, tear gas flying, riot batons held high
People are too busy Twittering to do anything.
