And what? No cell phone? Comments in the linked story state she was taking the 2-year old to the hospital too. And that she walked to a gas station rather than nearby residences. I'm not one to put a lot of stock in the comments section, (the loons speaking out on the Oregonian's site have shown the folly of that) but the whole story sounds suspicious anyway. I hope more disturbing details do not emerge.
How very sad for those poor children.
