A lesson about to be learned the hard way

The Occupy movement is going to find out that nobody messes with Santa.

This should give quite an additional boost to the trend toward internet commerce during the holidays.

That's alright. They can protest downtown. Nobody shops there anyway.

Nothing sticks it to the 1% like accosting shoppers at Wal-Mart.

Nobody gets between me and my half-price socks at Freddies!

Once again, I think many people would agree with their message, but their methods are getting in the way.

Whatever message they had was lost long ago.

The Occupiers have a "message"?? What's that, a confused blend of hating the government from which said Occupiers, parasitically, demand cradle-to-grave support? Square THAT circle.

Thanks for that thoughtful comment. Now run along, I think Rush is on...

The Crony Capitalists have cooped the entire country , [that means you Millionaire BowTie/Why-den] and these brave folks have to make it up as they go. The system is broken , cops are maceing old ladies , and kicking pregnant women , our Democracy is nearly gone , and I say go for it Occupados.

The evil beast feeds on money in the cash register , if you stop the flow , you starve it. Look at the banksters squeeel when folks took all that money out and put it in the credit unions ! Viva Occupados !!!

From Portland Indymedia today:

"Occupy Macy's parade on Black Friday
author: Progressives2012
The annual Macy's Parade is 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. this Friday. Let's Occupy it."

Bring popcorn....

I really can't imagine that they're going to win anybody over by telling people how they should or shouldn't spend their hard-earned money. Frankly, it's just none of their business and most people (let's say 99% of people) don't appreciate being scolded/lectured by strangers.

It also seems a bit hypocritical to spend weeks arguing that you should be allowed to congregate wherever you want, even in violation of the law, then turn around and tell other people where they can and can't congregate.

Seen on FaceBook today:

In America, if you camp out to buy a TV, you're welcomed with open arms. If you camp out to redress grievances, you're beaten and gassed. #OWS

"...criticizing the day's dedication to conspicuous consumption.

One person's conspicuous consumption is someone else's job.

Making a list and checking it twice...
Did this pepper spray make your list?
