You couldn't occupy Lake Oswego, where the millionaires actually live?

Jack, you miss the strategery of the Hoi polloi. As you've previously noted, there is a move afoot for an amphibious operation designed to seize and hold the tawny sands of Lake O. Once a beach head is established, they will be joined by the main force arriving by streetcar and drive inland. "To arms, to arms, the enemy is at the gate!"
Go ahead, take Lake Oswego-- it's already become a theme park -- just needs a toy train to make the destruction complete. It's not suburban sprawl that is ruining our livability, it's rampant urbanism. Com'on down!
I'm actually SHOCKED that no one in L.O. hasn't considered taking the existing railroad line that runs through Lake Oswego, pretty close to the Bridgeport Village Shopping Center to the west and to SoWhat and the Pearl to the north (via the Streetcar), and putting this on it:
European equipment, steam powered, only $500,000 - just think, this train is the cost of one brand new TriMet bus, but it has NINE coaches (including a bar car) and it can even make commuter runs during the rush hour.
Disneyland figured out how to burn biodiesel in a steam locomotive, surely L.O. can figure it out too!
The freight rail ine through LO is being looked at for high capacity mass transit done the Willamette Valley. Just about every heavy rail line that is or was in the area has someone planning it's future for mass transit. A transportation wonk can give an update about where all those plans are at, but the train buffs are working diligently on this and have been for years.
