Keepin' it weird
Do you think the Portland City Council is going to show more maturity when Steve Novick replaces Randy Leonard? Doesn't seem likely.

Does that mean he'll be leading the protests here in Little Beirut when the Republican primary debate comes to Oregon in March 2012?

...said Novick, who added with a grin, "We think a man who is bad for dogs is bad for America.
From what I hear Novick is for fluoride.
Me thinks a man who is for putting fluoride into our good drinking water is bad for Portland.
It has been reported that Novick and Leonard are friends...not a good sign as far as I am concerned.

Anything for a gimmicky yuk. Doesn't he work for the State? Why isn't he at work?
We think anyone that supports adding Lead and Arsenic into drinking water through fluoridation is bad for Portland. But then, he's now one of Leonard's minions.

I guess all those that put their dogs in the back of their pickups, unchained or chained without any protection of even a dog carrier are even worse than Romney.
Or what about all those trucks carrying husky dogs in semi-open cages stacked on top of each other. Maybe some haven't traveled in the back of a pickup with wind swirling from every which way up your nostrils and eyes from a dusty dirt/rock road after you've dumped the hay load going 60. But it was a good job. Seems Romney showed more respect.
How you carry your dog should be a major campaign issue, right Novick? If I remember right in his other campaigns, several times on radio interviews and other media, it was Novick who interrupted the questioning to demand that more relevant, crucial issues be discussed. Maybe in his mind his running for City Council is really like running for the POTUS or the US Senate when he wants to discuss Romney's dog.
It's not too late for a common-sense candidate to run for this Council seat.

If this is Little Steven's platform, I'm not impressed.

lw,
No, it is not too late.
Has the campaigning always started so early...deadline I believe is March.
It just seems like a circus now for the media to play around with these candidates for stories about the candidates and very little about serious issues...perhaps those who would be common sense candidates do not want to thrown in with this mix...at this time.

Why would you not think that a dog would make a difference in a Presidential campaign?

Oh! I see, Novick IS running for President. Delusions. His mind is presidential.
And along the way if he becomes Commissioner I can see his continuing of Council edicts on foreign policy, national issues and forgetting filling potholes.

I was referring to Romney's Presidential ambitions. I'm not sure where Novick is ultimately headed.
