Worth 1,000 words

This image, on the City of Portland's website, speaks volumes about what's wrong with the mindset at City Hall.

Sadly, how right you are.

The Portland Plan is better than 50 years old, but only a select few are privy to it.

Were's the account showing how many people worked on it, what they were paid and what the total cost was?

Oh I'm sorry that's none of our business.

Best plan for Portland is that we the citizens have our own draft plan.
Draft a plan as to how to get a council who will do the basics and work for the public?

That's fine. They're just making it all up in the back room as they go along anyhow. If they released a draft document, it would just mean that they'd be sucking up even more hours of citizens' time giving input they aren't planing to pay any attention to anyhow.

The only thing missing is a giant hand erasing some of the buildings that the planners have decided are "ugly".

...If they released a draft document, it would just mean that they'd be sucking up even more hours of citizens' time...

Indeed that may be the big plan, sucking up more hours of citizen's time so that the citizens will be too worn out to draft their own needed plan, which is to find some way to stop all these plans over us.
Enough already!!

You know, I don't have a problem with Portland being drafted. I just hope, though, that the people pushing the draft don't get too upset when they start hearing whispers of "Let's frag the lieutenant."

Reminds me of when I saw a letterhead for the town of Mohave, California: A huge skyline under the sun with a dwarfed Los Angeles to the right and a dwarfed San Francisco to the left.

TTR - I just would like to frag kiddie council with food scraps
