Maybe convicts scheduled to 180 days should argue the definition of a day should conform to sidereal time. That would take about 12 hours off of sentences based on solar days.
You'd think the court had more to concern itself with than allowing some smartass attorney to introduce Gilbert and Sullivan foolishness into the courtroom.
What will be interesting i sif Mr. habibi is still available for deportation, or if, while his appeal was pending, he "disappeared" into the mass of folks in the US.
You can bet he wasn't in custody while his appeal was pending.
And I'd put dollars to doughnuts that he won't now be found to be deported.
