Conflict-of-interest charges hurled at PDC chair
Did Portland's "urban renewal" scoundrels kill the Centennial Mills foodie deal so that the new Melvin Mark foodie deal at the Morrison Bridge could take over? Given that the chair of the development commission is a Melvin Mark bigwig, that's a question some folks are finding quite interesting.

Now if we only had a DA or AG with any stones to go after stuff like this.....

Since our local officials have apparently been given a green light to do as they please, until further notice all anyone can do is continue collecting evidence and hope they don't come try to smash the presses.

I'm torn. On the one hand, classic Portland shady deals and conflict of interest.
On the other hand, the PDC is actually not doing the stupid thing by trying to finance two of these things right down the river from each other. Any glimmer of market intelligence from the PDC is a positive.

Great story by those Neighborhood Notes folks; they put out some quality work. Nice pictures, too

I have a question for the legal beagles on this site since I only play an advocate on the interwebs. Could Joe Blow Citizen go and file a criminal complaint about this kind of crap?
