Many of the natives here in Multnomah don't like being Blumenauered either.
Now that our nation and down to the local level are in economic crisis, we can only hope that people will be paying much more attention. Blumenauer has been a career politician long enough, time to become a lobbyist... Oh wait, he has been one all along, hasn't he on this light rail agenda? All this on our dime.
Only once did I actually want and specifically ask for a response in a letter from him as to what he has done while in office to uphold the oath and our constitution. Needless to say, didn't get a letter.
Yeah the hostile commissioners said they would have a discussion.
Then they cancelled the 2:30 work session where it could have taken place.
Staff had an Urban Renewal "refresher" prepared.
The public should be able to get a copy.

Just an FYI: this is not a Study Session so will not be recorded. DTD staff put together an urban renewal “refresher” for the “new” Board and invited any of them who could attend.

He may be well revered by the local fellow D's around here, but not so much by a progressive on the national level:
...But thought I’d add some perspective on the man himself. Bottom line: I’ve had pieces of toilet paper dragging from my shoe that were more principled than Earl Blumenauer.
Read and learn more about our representative that caused that statement:

I can't believe this story appeared in the Oregonian -- it isn't their standard regurgitation of a Tri-met press release.

Roughly the same way ya' polish one, I guess.
(I've seen it done so often I should have learned how.)
