I remember way! back in the late 60's when I was at U of O, now Nike U, that there was a bit of a problem with "student athletes" that is similar to what is happening now.
However, then there wasn't as much money to be had, but I suppose it is all relative.

Great news - it'll be much easier to take attendance when half the class is wearing ankle monitors.
