That's o.k., I didn't want to get anything done the rest of the day
Windows informs me that there are 22 "important updates" that my computer needs to make.

And after all those many critical updates HP (Hell to Pay) downloaded on my hard drive, my printer crashed and it was only fixed after I removed the updated programs and re-installed everything from the original CD.
Then poof, it was working again as it did when I bought it. Amazing!
As for now I am happily limping along and living dangerously.
I have an HP scanner. The part that scans slides quit working. It took a long time for me to figure out that an updated driver had knocked it out. I, too, reinstalled the software from the original disc and it works fine again.

HP has done me wrong too many times. Their hardware's o.k., but their software really blows. Been that way for at least 15 years.
