Two of many reasons why I moved out of there many long years ago: sand-bagging along the Mississippi (was almost part of the high-school curriculum) and tornadoes - a small one hit while I was asleep one night and lifted the roof clean off the house. Dropped it down in the back field. I woke up with rain dumping across the bedroom. Aside from the missing roof, no damage whatsoever to the house or contents (from wind). One weird experience.
