The last election left much to be desired. Hope'n'Change™ left me cold. So did McCain.

The election method we've created measures fund-raising and campaigning skills.
Unsurprisingly, those attributes do not translate into good -- or even mediocre -- governance.

I've always thought it was a mistake not to write in Morgan Freeman.
I despaired with the Obama nomination and election because it confirmed Americans as adolescent celebrity worshipers.
No, McCain was nothing much, but the O was clearly nothing. I looked at his Chicago record. The media ignored it, but it was there for anyone with a keyboard.
