Hi ho, Hosni!
The denouement of his reign still stands a chance of being considerably less prejudicial than that of his predecessor.

That Obama gave the guy until September to move out is a serious misstep and one that will come back and bite him in the butt. The sooner the decision gets cleaned up, the less damage it will do.

Unlike Sadat, Mubarak lacked the noticeable zebiba. While that certainly didn't save Sadat, it might have saved Mubarak.
One wonders about these former colonies. If Montgomery stayed, Egypt would be that much richer. If Mountbatten had divorced his wife after she slept with Nehru, well, India and Pakistan and East Pakistan probably wouldn't be the festering messes they are today.
I guess all of these messes are Churchill's fault, ultimately.

Obama is confusing me with the do nothing for two years and then all of a sudden the elder statesman. We might be right back to Iraq without Hussein.
The other thing that would be funny is if Mubarak called him back and told him he saw the TeaPartiers and the big Glenn Beck gathering right in front of the White House disapproving of him. Then that Mr Obama's ratings are in the tank, his party has lost a lot of seats and his major piece of work, the Health Plan is illegal - Then he insists the people are telling him not to stand for re-election.
Then again, what the heck do I know?
