Forget the groundhog

This morning's big news: The Kettleman Bagel shop at NE 22nd and Broadway opened for business today. We are presently preparing to dig into some of their first batch.

Forget the groundhog and the bagels, it's the 129th year since James Joyce was born on the 2nd of February, a date which he employed for publishing. Haul down your (unread?) copy of "Ulysses" and read Poldy's soliloquy or Molly's -- or both -- to someone very near in your universe of affiliations. Better yet, bring the groundhog, the bagels, and a few other items, too.

I think I saw the bagel position in a movie once.
