"Dear Santa, Just bring my mom a winter coat"

It's tough out there. Let's be thankful for all that we have.

That's ok, extending the current tax rates for those making more than $250,000 and the sharp reduction in the Estate Tax will more than provide for children without winter clothing.

Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want and their kids pay for it.

I'll pass on the snarky comments. Your point is well taken, Jack. I am very thankful for the comfortable lifestyle my family enjoys. It's really tough out there for a lot of families. My mom has sent out a request to our family that she wants no more gifts to "collect dust". She wants all that gift money to be donated to Mercy Corps or Salvation Army to help people in real need. I have already sent in my check.
