Wild times in the Palm Springs of Washington

Our correspondent to the north and east sends along some amazing cops-and-robbers news out of Yakima. Check out one attorney's involvement with the homeboys, both in and out of the clink. And the police up that way seem to be imploding on their own.

At least in the first story, the jail people appeared to be more upset about losing the revenue from inmates' phone calls than from the security risks. $2.90 per call? That's robbery! Oh, wait . . .
