Ah, the Ig Nobels. Where else are we supposed to hear about papers on homosexual necrophilia among mallard ducks?

Did you see what the Engineering Prize went to?

Collecting whale snot?

: Karina Acevedo-Whitehouse and Agnes Rocha-Gosselin of the Zoological Society of London, UK, and Diane Gendron of Instituto Politecnico Nacional, Baja California Sur, Mexico, for perfecting a method to collect whale snot, using a remote-control helicopter.

Tell me it's not true!

Aaagh! I've been had!

Nuts, I'm trying to find the story you had on the the city employee who researched the subject, then gave the Power Book presentation, that demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that "Money = Happiness."

That would certainly be worth a nomination at least...

Hey, folks...

Did you catch this year's Ig Nobel for Transportation Planning?

It will reinforce your suspicions about who has been doing the transportation planning around here, particularly with regards light rail.

I like the Economics award, though legimately it ought to go to Proshares which through leveraged short ETFs like SDS, SKF and SRS gives the unsophisticated individual investor the opportunity to profit mightily from market collapse. What a country!

Science 101 Class:
A warm brassier over the nose? Brings me back to my younger days!...., what fun!
Now that I'm older, but can still remember things of that sort, I'm happy that someone has made this into an award winning event. Go science!
VTY,
Mike
