A cool guy from the 'hood

Here's a Portland native of whom I hadn't heard before. He seems like quite a man.

Thanks for sharing. It is nice to read something positive about a business person. Way too many negative stories floating around these days.

And can it honestly be a coincidence that he graduated from Grant High School? I think not. Go Generals.

Yes, he's a great guy. He's given a lot of money to Alameda Elementary: helped outfit the library computer lab, put an interactive whiteboard in nearly every classroom, etc.

It's great to see that his collegiate philanthropy has been directed mostly for academics, not athletics.
