More bad cop news from Friday afternoon
They're always burying the reports of wayward police officers in the distractions of the weekend. Here's the latest: a Portland policeman busted on drunk driving charges. A Scott Westerman Facebook friend, no less. According to the O, the officer, Scott Dunick, had already been taken off the streets a couple of months ago while the police bureau investigated alleged drug use.

If they are being transparent, why won't they release the circumstances of the stop in the police report? And why did the officer stopping him need to call for back up?

Drew G- It is standard procedure to have two (or more) officers at any DUI stop and in Portland they usually call for a traffic officer, and also to have a supervisor present when it is another officer involved.
