Good money after bad

The City of Portland's going to borrow another $64 million next week to blow on more exciting improvements in the SoWhat District. Or maybe it's to pay off "interim" loans for money that's already been spent down there. Gotta make things purty for them immigration prisoners, I guess.

From Sam Adams press release: "It'll be the first LEED Platinum prison--I mean 'office with locking cubicles'--in the world."

Gerding+Edlen are visiting Guatemala and South Africa to recycle some of their, previously used "building materials."

Triple bottom line, baby.

Hey, you can't beat the deal - Money now for 30+ years worth of debt.
