I'm not sure if you can really call that a bus, since it appears to be on rails.
Which, of course, means that Portland must have some. There isn't a rail transit that Metro doesn't want.

Damn good idea.
Tear up the Banfield and LR, expand them both and build the sucker!
Probably even do a hybrid so that all those LR cars don't go to the rust heap.
Maybe the new Chinese Volvos could mechanically hook up and the driver takes a nap.

But I can't imagine how it would go around corners, so only where the streets are perfectly straight. Better start condemning houses so we can straighten our roads. ;)

Never happen here. More likely they'd just build a bus that blocks 2 lanes at once. Bus drivers already try to do that on SE Hawthorne in the Bicycle Taliban zone.
