The system worked

For 36 years now, I've felt that today should be a national holiday.

unfortunately the powerful have learned from Mr
Nixon's mistakes.

As the gaming community says " Woot!"

Golly, if Obama acts quick we can make a double header!

It should be a holiday. It's the 22nd anniversary of the wedding of my Bride and me.

You can see the sweat marks from his hands on the papers....pre teleprompter.

Interesting to see how it's all played at the Nixon Library:

We finally know the role that the FBI's Mark Feit played, but there is one remaining matter that might be settled: Will technology give us some of the missing 18.5 minutes of recorded audio tape back? Only time will tell. If it does, that I suppose would be Nixon's final mistake.

It's unlikely the 18.5 minutes will ever be recovered unless there was a second copy. The way to erase magnetic tape is to degauss it (way back when I used to work for radio stations that had bulk degaussers). Unlike deleting files on computer discs, degaussing permanently removes any trace of the information that once resided on the tape.

That really was fun to watch at the time.
I watched all the hearings.
I loved Sam Irvin.
Politics as spectator sport was in its sunset.
Didn't realize it at the time of course.
Now its nothing but one giant preplanned script.
The elite learned its lessons well about the media and what needed to be done to control it.
BUY IT!
