Deutschland über (fast) Alles

Germany has taken third place in the World Cup soccer tourney, which means that Ricardo is the winner of our bracket game. Congratulations to him. Over on our match-by-match prediction board, the Fake Dutchman has slipped into first place with just the championship match to go.

The octopus is going with Spain.

OK, octupus, we'll do one better...
the race to name spanish and dutch painters from memory- the first country who runs out of painters loses...

escher/ goya
klimt/el greco
titian/picasso
reubens/miro
vermeer/ dali
gauguin/pisarro

..Run out of ideas for both countries. It's going to PK, anyone could win.
Not sure if Klimt is dutch. not sure if Gauguin is dutch. Think he may be french.

But standing firm in the Dutch minority rooting camp...
