Our ride up from Salem on 99E the other day -- the first time we've ever traveled that road, in 32 years living in these parts -- may have jinxed it.

Not to worry Jack... not your fault. Just incompetence from Randy "Dear Father" Leonard and David "don't call me David Wilson" Shaff, and not maintaining the water system as they should. Rate increases now go for things we don't need.
TriMet already wants to screw up 99W in Tigard by plucking down a MAX line - with no explanation of how to deal with the 50,000 vehicles per day that use the road, much of which are headed to/from Sherwood, Yamhill, Polk or Lincoln Counties and would never take MAX.

Who needs 99E anyway? Go by bike lane!

If that's the case, stay off of 99W.
