How to get people to sympathize with the police
There are times when I think some of Portland's police officers should be behind bars, but I didn't mean bars on the windows of the police union offices. The Red and Black set can really be self-defeating when they want to be.

They're self-defeating all the time. I got caught up in one of their marches downtown the other weekend. They just march along waving black flags and yelling curse words.
Normal folks just watched bemused as they passed by. There is NO WAY that observers were picking up any kind of message about police brutality or anything else. It was impossible to tell what these kids were doing other than trying to incite the cops and manufacture some drama in their lives.

If anarchists were at work here (a person who seeks to overturn by violence all constituted forms and institutions of society and government, with no purpose of establishing any other system of order in the place of that destroyed) I'm not sure their actions were self defeating to their misguided cause.
It certainly aggravates the problem however for those wishing to see some positive changes in our relationship with PPB. Would be nice if a real community activist drops a dime on the miscreants responsible for this.

Even suggesting that the R&B folks had anything to do with this is irresponsible.
Unless you have anything to suggest that they did, you stand to lead to victimization of the R&B folks. The Portland Police have no shortage of detractors.
